In the design world “what’s trending” is always changing and although in weddings trends can hang on for a while, here are some trends to keep an eye out for in 2023 and 2024 wedding floral design trends. Brought to you by Brydon Carson Decorating & Florals.
Colour
Colour is the biggest factor when designing a wedding. Colour trends have gone from pastels, to jewel tones, to pink, pink and more pink. We are going to see more contrasting colours in wedding florals and décor for the 2023/ 2024 season. People are choosing their main focal colour and accent with a contrasting colour. More unexpected colour choices are going to be popular. Wedding décor has become so fun and personal to each couple, choosing unexpected colours makes the feel of the wedding more personal to the couple’s vibe. We will also be seeing ore monochromatic colour schemes. Using different shades of the same colour can make such a statement and be classic at the same time.
Ceremony Florals
Ceremony florals are the main setting when saying your vows. Ceremony florals consist of arches, backdrops, and aisle florals. In 2023 and 2024 we are going to see more statement ceremony florals. More sculpture like, creating a new and fresh backdrop. Using less variety of florals, significantly more of the same flower and focusing on texture will be popular this year. By doing this, the arrangements will feel grander. Repurposing has always been popular and will stay popular, as you can get multiple uses out of your arrangements, creating beautiful backdrops for all your photos.
Tables
Table placement and shape trends are moving back to the more classic round style. The table settings are taking a leap. Trending for 2023 and 2024 will be more decorative tableware, coloured glasses, antique dishes, modern dishes, artistic flatware, the list goes on. Tableware will have more detail to tie into themes and vibes of weddings. Tableware is going to look more like décor than just essential dinner items. We are also going to see more variety in table décor. Different shapes and sizes of candles, different coloured candles are also popular. Adding the smallest, delicate details will create a personalized feeling which will enhance the weddings of this upcoming season.
